Rock Support Ltd is committed to ensuring the health, safety and welfare of all its employees, so far as reasonably practicable. Rock Support Ltd also accepts its responsibility for other persons who may be affected by our activities and will take all necessary steps to ensure that Rock Support Ltd will comply with its legislative and statutory duties, in order to protect all persons within our business.
Furthermore, Rock Support will:
- Provide adequate control measures for the health and safety risks arising from our work activities and maintain these control measures once established, ensuring there is continuous improvement in the Rock Support Ltd business
- Consult with our employees on all matters affecting their health and safety
- Provide and maintain safe plant and equipment on site and at our workshop premises
- Ensure the safe handling and use of substances
- Ensure each employee is given the information, instruction and training necessary to enable the safe execution of work activities
- Ensure all employees are assessed to determine that they are able to undertake their tasks competently and give them adequate training to ensure continuous improvement
- Work to prevent accidents and cases of work-related ill health
Our goal is to achieve good standards and a sustainable best practice in the promotion of health and safety in our business. Our policy is to integrate this goal and our company values, programmes and practices into all our areas of work.
Every employee is required to cooperate to ensure that all statutory duties are managed and complied with. The successful implementation of this policy requires a total commitment from all levels of employee. Each individual has a legal obligation to take reasonable care for his or her own health and safety and for the safety of other people who may be affected by his or her actions or omissions.
It is the policy of the company to implement a prudent and practical health and safety strategy, and full details of the company’s organisation and arrangements for health and safety are set out in separate documents. This policy will be regularly monitored, with a formal annual review to ensure that its objectives are being achieved and are achievable. This policy will also be reviewed, if necessary, in light of legislative or organisational changes.
