ENVIRONMENTAL STATEMENT

Rock Support Ltd, a foundation equipment specialist company involved in repairing and servicing mechanical equipment at its workshop and on site, recognises its responsibility to protect the environment. This statement is a declaration of the Director’s intent to comply with environmental legislation to ensure the company adequately manages its works, prevents pollution and continually improves the operation and the environmental management of its activities.
This policy, and its associated objectives and targets, will be available to all interested parties and members of the public upon request and will be implemented by adopting the following main principles in a proactive manner.

Rock Support will:

  • Comply with relevant legislation, client and other requirements that apply to all work activities. Rock Support Ltd employs an environmental consultant who also acts as an internal auditor for Rock Support’s environmental procedures
  • Communicate with our employees to ensure minimal environmental impact and also, where possible, environmental enhancement
  • Identify and evaluate the environmental aspects of all projects that the company undertakes. This may include projects such as: waste management and minimisation through our clients’ Waste Management Plan; air quality; noise; watercourses; wildlife and habitat; and archaeology and heritage
  • Set measurable and realistic environmental objectives and targets to demonstrate continuous improvement across the Rock Support Ltd business. This will be reviewed at the timescales noted
  • Operate and implement the Rock Support Ltd environmental procedures, which are being brought up to a standard that shall enable the company to obtain the international standard of ISO 14001 in future
  • Ensure that the environmental awareness and competency of all our employees is assessed and give adequate training to allow for continuous improvement
  • Source, where possible, environmentally sustainable materials, reduce our waste, consumption of energy and raw materials, and maximise opportunities to reuse and recycle

The Director is responsible for the management of the environmental issues and the implementation of this policy across Rock Support Ltd and will ensure the appropriate resources are available. This policy, and the company’s overall environmental performance, will be reviewed on an annual basis or, if necessary, in light of legislative or organisational changes.
